• 2024 09 19—9:07am—The Province of BC provides $5.3 Million for a District of Wells & Area Water Management Plan and Lowhee Creek Phase Two Flood Prevention in partnership with Lhtako Dene Nation.  This is to better protect people and improve community defences against climate change, the Province is providing funding to communities across British Columbia for disaster risk resilience and climate-adaptation projects.  For more information contact Mayor Ed Coleman, 250-991-9034 or edcoleman@wells.ca

  The District of Wells is developing an Integrated Community Sustainability Plan (ICSP). An ICSP is a long-term plan that provides direction for the community's environmental, social, and economic sustainability objectives. The Plan will help the District integrate sustainability considerations into its policies, plans, strategies, and decision-making processes.
