· In addition to Council supporting the Barkerville Heritage Trust with a letter of support and a “what we have in common grid” for their RFP Submission for Barkerville Historic Town and Park and Cottonwood House Historic Site for the next 11 years, the District of Wells has also submitted an RFP submission for Barkerville Historic Town and Park and Cottonwood House Historic Site.

2024 09 19—9:07am—The Province of BC provides $5.3 Million for a District of Wells & Area Water Management Plan and Lowhee Creek Phase Two Flood Prevention in partnership with Lhtako Dene Nation. This is to better protect people and improve community defences against climate change, the Province is providing funding to communities across British Columbia for disaster risk resilience and climate-adaptation projects.
